I’ve invited women from Białystok (the city in north-east area of Poland)  to attend in the project: „Women’ emotional patchwork”. In this project women can tell publicly their life story.

The name of the project comes from movie: How to make an american quilt. The heroines of the film meet to sew a patchwork quilt as a dowry of their young cousin, who got engaged. By the way they remain their life stories.

They open the door to difficult matters from the past once again, this time to look at them and organize them anew, from today’s more mature perspective. What all women have in common is suffering from many losses in life, and the joy of finding happiness in difficult but real relationships that have arisen in their lives, not always because they wanted them … or at least not always on a conscious level …

Polish research shows that people suffer from loneliness more and more severely, while European research confirms that people in developed countries suffer from a loss of meaning in life. I feel myself lonely as well. And I discovered that we need to tell our life stories. A lot of people want to do it. When You do it publicly, You discover it’s healing, therapeutic. And the same meaning is by the other side, I mean those who listen, read, see people stories also participate in therapy. Very very slowly we try to go out from our loneliness towers. Women who attend in this project are beautiful and sensitive. They are also brave.
